The next steps to be taken were discussed in order to create cooperation for sustainable use of natural resources and to improve the state of the environment in the states around the Baltic Sea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These two principles &#8211; to <strong>improve the environment in water basins<\/strong> and to c<strong>reate viable businesses<\/strong> &#8211; are the basis of bio-industrial cooperation and symbioses. The input resource in the symbiosis is the naturally occurring biomass of aquatic or terrestrial origin that initiates the product value chain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project partners from the municipalities of <strong>Skive<\/strong> (Denmark) and <strong>Lysekil<\/strong> (Sweden), the <strong>Zemgale Planning Region<\/strong> and <strong>Latvian Institute of Aquatic Ecology<\/strong> will be working creating a set of solutions that would promote industrial symbiosis in the municipalities of the Baltic Sea Region countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column p-con-right is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image uagb-block-1b6acac6 wp-block-uagb-image--layout-default wp-block-uagb-image--effect-static wp-block-uagb-image--align-none\"><figure class=\"wp-block-uagb-image__figure\"><img decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lhei.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/IMG_1160-1024x783.jpg ,https:\/\/lhei.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/IMG_1160-scaled.jpg 780w, https:\/\/lhei.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/IMG_1160-scaled.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 150px\" src=\"https:\/\/lhei.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/IMG_1160-1024x783.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"uag-image-7222\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" title=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On November 30 partners of the Interreg BSR project &#8220;Blue Green Bio Lab&#8221; held a meeting in Jelgava.
