This will be done by carefully developing and testing three new green infrastructure elements, as well as by actively involving target groups in Latvia and Estonia. BioFloat floating island concept will be an innovation developed according to the most pressing needs of municipalities to improve the management of public water bodies.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LIAE is the <strong>lead partner<\/strong> of the project and will be responsible for management of the project, communication and dissemination activities, for example, organizing the closing event of the project in the form of a hybrid conference. LIAE will implement and supervise most of the research activities at <strong>two pilot sites in Latvia<\/strong>. Some of the most important activities will be extensive data collection and analysis to evaluate the ability of the designed floating islands to reduce various types of water pollution such as microplastics, heavy metals and the more common pharmaceuticals. We will disseminate the results of the project at conferences, social media platforms and various targeted public events.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Project
