Saldūdeņu ekoloģija, zooplanktona (Cladocera un Copepoda) sugu daudzveidība un izplatība, paleolimnoloģija, mikroplastmasas piesārņojuma Baltijas jūrā un citos biotopos pētniecība, atbildīga par mikroplastmasas laboratoriju LHEI, mikroplastmasas monitoringu Baltijas jūrā un Rīgas līcī, piekrastes smiltīs, kā arī par mikroplastmasas piesārņojuma pētniecības virziena attīstību. Kā vadošā pētniece atbildīga par projektu pieteikumu sagatavošanu, pētījuma dizaina izstrādi, projektu administrēšanu un vadīšanu.
