Where do young biologists and nature explorers obtain their skills and interest? At the Kolka field course!
As before the first-year biology students of University of Latvia acquire practical knowledge for several weeks at the field base in Kolka. LHEI Researchers Ingrīda Andersone, Astra Labuce and Inta Dimante-Deimantoviča went to introduce the students to freshwater microscopic organisms and ecological challenges. It is a pleasure to participate in teaching young specialists!
The activities were partially carried out within the framework of projects “Trust Alum” and “COOL BLUE Baltic”.
