Visiting “VALMIERA GLASS”
On Thursday, August 1 representatives of the “GYPREG” project from the Latvian Institute of Aquatic Ecology visited Ltd “VALMIERA GLASS” (AS “VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA”). As gypsum is a by-product from the manufacturing processes of the company, they approached us to see if it could be used in agricultural soils to retain phosphorus. During the visit, together with the representatives of Farmers’ Parliament (“Zemnieku Saeima”) we learned more about the company, presented the project and discussed opportunities for cooperation.
