Recreational event “ma-DARA” 2024
On Saturday, August 17 the recreational event “ma-DARA” took place in Ziemupe, where the main theme this year was “clay”. At the LHEI tent we introduced participants to the mussel and algae cultivation and agricultural land treatment with gypsum to reduce phosphorus run-off into the surrounding water bodies. Children could create clay figurines of the inhabitants of an underwater farm, put puzzles together and play the game “Circus” while learning more about environmentally friendly skills. And all this by the sea, accompanied by live music!
