Synergizing Efforts: International Partnership (Germany – Latvia) on Microplastic Pollution
The aim of this project is to foster collaboration between microplastic research teams at Latvian Institute of Aquatic Ecology and University of Hamburg, bringing together their expertise, experience, and resources. This collaboration will enhance the understanding of microplastic pollution distribution and help assess its negative impacts.
As part of the project, Latvian researchers and research assistants will participate in an exchange visit to microplastic research group at the University of Hamburg. During this visit, they will lead and attend lectures from both Latvian and German representatives and engage in hands-on laboratory training. Additionally, discussions will be held to lay the groundwork for future collaboration. The long-term goal of the involved institutions is to develop a joint project proposal focused on microplastics research.
This project of the Baltic-German University Liaison Office is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funds from the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic Germany.
