Work in HELCOM groups
HELCOM has eight main working groups dealing with specific topics regarding the Baltic Sea environment. The expertise of these working group helps shape policies, strategies and recommendations in response to specific issues affecting the Baltic Sea. The HELCOM working groups consist of national experts, usually from a ministry or government agency, formally nominated by a HELCOM contracting party. HELCOM working groups also include Researchers from LIAE.
