“Baltic Hitchhikers” – non-indigenous species in the Baltic Sea

As a part of the project “Baltic Complete” a video has been created informing about the arrival of non-indigenous species in the Baltic Sea. Find out what animal species have reached us and how they are able to travel such great distances from their natural habitats.

In the project “Baltic Complete” research is being carried out regarding the role of ballast water and how non-indigenous aquatic species are ‘travelling’ by attaching to the hull of ships and boats. Learn more about project activities and results here: https://balticcomplete.com/home.
