Improving perceptions and value of Baltic Sea/freshwater ecosystems through alignment of policy aims and restoration measures (iVALUE)
The iVALUE project seeks to lay the foundation for a strong, transnational EU proposal aimed at restoring and sustainably managing Baltic Sea Region ecosystems. It brings together partners with expertise in hydrology, ecology, and social sciences to align policy goals with practical restoration measures. This seed-funded phase focuses on concept development, funding identification, stakeholder engagement, and consortium expansion.
As a partner in this project LHEI is conducting research on funding opportunities and ensuring cooperation with the national contact point, participating in ensuring communication, informing the public, participating in project management and implementation, while the scientific contribution is related to topics such as restoration of aquatic habitats, pollution research, expertise on biodiversity, food webs and invasive species.
