LHEI will participate in Conversation Festival “Lampa”
As part of the 30th anniversary of LHEI we are highlighting our participation in this year’s Conversation Festival “Lampa”! On June 20-21, in Cēsis we invite you to LHEI stage – Blue Green Island (stage No. 30), where you can learn about aquatic ecosystems and smart use of water resources. Over the course of two days, we will host 7 panel discussions, 2 workshops, and more than 30 speakers.
On June 20, we invite you to the following events:
- 12:30-14:00 opening discussion “Water research and management in Latvia: do we know how to do it (well)?”
- 14:30-16:30 workshop “Play, glue, draw with researchers”
- 17:00-18:30 panel discussion “An academic view on the mysteries of floating islands and wetlands”
- 18:30-19:30 conversation with quiz elements “What do we have in common with cyanobacteria in Latvian waters?”
- 19:30-21:00 story time “How to become a researcher / fun events from expeditions”
On June 21, there will be talks and a workshop on the following topics:
- 11:00-12:30 discussion “Lakes and rivers today and in the memories of our grandparents”
- 12:30-14:30 workshop for children “Discover the diversity of waters”
- 14:30-15:30 conversation “Water, models and landscape architects: what do they all have in common?”
- 16:00-17:30 conversation “Aquatic environment research – how will drones, robots and machine learning help us?”
