MARTE YouTube Channel Is Growing into a Knowledge Hub for Marine Technology and the Blue Economy
The YouTube channel of the MARTE – Marine Technology Excellence Hub for Sustainable Blue Economy in the Baltics project is gradually developing into an open-access knowledge hub, bringing together recordings of seminars, technical workshops and other project events focused on marine technologies, the blue economy and innovation in the Baltic Sea region.
The channel already features, and will continue to add, materials covering a wide range of topics relevant to the development of the marine and maritime sectors, including the blue economy, ports, offshore energy, modelling and simulations, marine data, technology testing and other innovation-related themes.
By making seminar and workshop recordings available online, the knowledge generated throughout the project can remain accessible beyond individual events. Expert presentations and discussions can therefore reach a wider audience, including researchers, businesses, representatives of public authorities and municipalities, students and other professionals whose work is connected to the Baltic Sea and the development of a sustainable blue economy.
Together with the project partners, the Latvian Institute of Aquatic Ecology (LHEI) contributes to strengthening cooperation and knowledge transfer between research organisations, institutions, industry professionals and other stakeholders within the blue economy ecosystem. The project focuses not only on the development of new technologies, but also on connecting expertise from different fields to support marine technology solutions that are science-based and contribute to the sustainable use of the Baltic Sea.
The MARTE project aims to strengthen cooperation between Latvia and Estonia in the field of marine technologies and the sustainable blue economy by developing an ecosystem in which research, technological development, business and policymaking are closely interconnected.
