Project “LAKES GO DIGITAL” news
This year, a cross-border cooperation project “Real time observations of water quality conditions in urban lakes using smart buoys (LAKES GO DIGITAL)” has been launched in Latvia and Lithuania. The main goal of the project is to ensure sustainable management of urban lakes by introducing m
onitoring approaches based on innovative technologies.
Projekta ietvaros pilsētu ūdenstilpēs paredzēts izvietot autonomas viedās bojas, kas nodrošinās iespēju reāllaikā iegūt datus par ūdens kvalitātes izmaiņām, kā arī savlaicīgi identificēt iespējamos piesārņojuma riskus. Izveidotā monitoringa sistēma sekmēs sabiedrības piekļuvi aktuālai informācijai un vienlaikus stiprinās pašvaldību institucionālo kapacitāti vides pārvaldības jomā.
