Celebrating 30 years of LHEI

On Thursday, August 28 we celebrated the 30th anniversary of LHEI together with colleagues and guests. In a panel discussion with Director of LHEI Juris Aigars, Anda Ikauniece, Ingrīda Andersone, Andris Andrušaitis, Astra Labuce and Marta Barone we looked back on 30 years in waves and discoveries, as well as set goals for the future of the institute.

During the event speeches were given by Raimonds Čudars, Minister of Smart Administration and Regional Development, Raimonds Vējonis, Minister of the Environment 2002-2011 and President of Latvia 2015-2019, Jānis Irbe, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Climate and Energy, representative of the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as Arvīds Barševskis, Rector of Daugavpils University.
