TRUST ALUM launch event in Sweden

The LIAE-led Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme project “TRUST ALUM” has been launched. Almost 30 participants from Sweden and the Baltic countries met at the opening event in Uppsala to get to know the ALUM water purification method from A-Z, not only in theory, but also in practice.

Partners and invited experts from Sweden shared their more than 60 years of experience in cleaning lakes with ALUM. Both examples of good practice from the municipality of Växjö and long-term effectiveness analysis from an extensive study of 114 lakes in Europe and North- America were presented.

On the second day, we went to Lake Uttran and got to know the ALUM method in action. Already next spring, this boat and team will travel to Latvia for the first demonstration of the ALUM method in the Baltics, in our Velnezers lake in Jugla, Riga.
