Today is the last work day for Researcher and Head of Chemistry Laboratory of LHEI Marine Monitoring Department, Mintauts Jansons, who is retiring after almost 45 years of active work together with his colleagues studying the sea
Mintauts worked in laboratory and determined heavy metals by atomic absorption spectroscopy methods. His attitude towards work was always responsible and the results – accurate. If Mintauts were to be described as a chemical element, then colleagues would say: “He is gold! A man with golden hands, on whom you can always rely, and whose professional experience and pragmatic opinion are worth gold!”
On behalf of the entire LHEI team, we thank you for the work invested over many years, the willingness to be present in difficult situations and help his colleagues. You will always be a welcome guest at the institute!
