Cooperation for marine technology development
During “Horizon Europe” project “MarTe” kick-off meeting in Pärnu on February 6-7 the first practical tasks to be carried out were defined and a timeline was set so that the main goal of the project could be achieved over the course of four years: to create marine technology excellence hub. Though the hub will exist virtually, the tasks are very real.
The project involves institutions in Latvia and Estonia, representing four major segments of society – entrepreneurs, state institutions, citizens and scientists, who must collaborate to achieve the recognition and use of innovative technologies for their own needs and to improve the environmental quality of the Baltic Sea. LHEI was represented at the meeting by senior researcher Anda Ikauniece and researcher Maija Viška.
