GYPREG project partner meeting in Sweden
From February 5-6 meeting of partners from GYPREG project took place in Sweden. We visited “RISE Research Institutes of Sweden” laboratories, where the experiments with gypsum on Swedish soils will commence shortly. During the meeting the partners discussed the current progress, where LHEI research assistant Elīna Vecmane presented the first results of the gypsum experiments in Latvia. From the Swedish partners and invited experts from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) we learned about the experience with agricultural land liming in Sweden and what valuable lessons we could borrow from their experience.
On the second day, we planned the next project activities and events – researcher Inga Retiķe organized a workshop on stakeholder engagement and organizing public events. Research assistant Valentīna Burdukovska presented the agenda for the next in-person meeting – we will host project partners in Latvia already in May!
