At the end of April many experts whose work is connected to the Baltic Sea gathered in Riga. The 50th anniversary of HELCOM was celebrated on April 25, with ministers of the Baltic Sea region countries and others involved in the work of HELCOM gathered together to discuss what has been achieved so far and set future goals for further cooperation for the protection of the Baltic Sea environment.
As part of the BlueMissionBANOS project, the “Blue Mission Arena 2” event took place on April 25 and 26, where the sustainable development of the blue economy in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland and Sweden was discussed. The aim of the event was to inspire, showcase best practices and plan the next steps to transform the region’s blue economy. You can watch the final session here.
