Join a workshop on microplastic pollution on beaches in Ventspils

Within the framework of the Interreg Central Baltic Programme project CLEAN Beach, methods of collecting beach microplastic pollution samples is being improved, making it simpler, cheaper and more widely applicable. As part of the project, on Thursday, August 21 from 10:00 – 14:00 at Ventspils Beach (exact location here), we invite representatives of local governments, beach area managers, as well as other interested parties to participate in the practical method testing. During the event, there will be an opportunity to try out sample collection, provide feedback on the methods and opinions on its potential to be included in the beach management routine.

During the event participants will also learn how to independently collect microplastic samples and report plastic pollution observed in the environment using the platform Rosgis.
