This year LHEI will participate at the Researchers’ Night in Daugavpils
Researchers’ Night 2024
Researchers’ Night 2024 will take place on Friday, September 27. This year, LHEI, as an agency of Daugavpils University, will inform about the current research topics at Daugavpils University, Parādes Street 1A, Daugavpils from 17:00 – 21:00 The full program and list of activities are available here: EUROPEAN RESEARCHERS’ NIGHT PROGRAM AT DAUGAVPILS UNIVERSITY
During the event, LHEI will invite visitors to look into the mysterious underwater world and get to know the ecology of the Baltic Sea and Latvian freshwaters. In an interactive way, visitors will be able to learn about current research topics at the institute, including the spread of invasive species, the impact of eutrophication and microplastic pollution on the state of the water environment, as well as on the cultivation of seaweed.
LHEI activities at the event will be implemented within the framework of the projects “AlgaePRO BANOS”, “COOL BLUE Baltic”, “TRUST ALUM”, “GYPREG” and “Invazīvo sugu monitorings ĪADT izmantojot vides DNS metodi (Nr.1-08/87/2023)”.
