Participation in the international conference “Plastic pollution from macro to nano (MICRO 2022) online Atlas edition”
Marta Barone, PhD student and Research Assistant at the Latvian Institute of Aquatic Ecology, participated in the international online conference “Plastic pollution from macro to nano (MICRO 2022) online Atlas edition” on November 14-18, presenting an oral report on microplastic pollution in Lake Velnezers “Understanding the path of microplastics in lake from surface water to sediments”.
It’s good to keep good things going!
Last year, for the first time, microplastic pollution was mapped on 25 Latvian beaches, thanks to support from the student sorority “Selga”. This gave us the first insight and data on how widespread this pollution is in the Latvian coastal zone.
